I miss blogging. I’m missing a lot of things, actually. Many things have changed during the past months. My son is already a year an a half old today, and we miss the company of our Alantuts. Therion would be thrilled to see see and be with his dad again.. so do I. 10 more “short” months..

Some changes, unfortunately, for me has been permanent. My Grandfather passed away last Sept. 9, on Grandparents day.. My Daddy Lolo, the only person who helped my family and I through the most difficult time of lives. I regret being not there to take care of him. I’m sure a lot of people who knows how a good person he was feels the same way. were all gonna miss him. To be honest, i’m actualy disappointed about some people’s actions regarding this unfortunate matter. Anyway, there will lots of time to blog about that. And I’ll make sure I will.

I hope to get the new lay-out up and running soon.(alantuts, help!) I’m itching to blog about so many things.

i’m becoming camera-crazy! (thanks to Alan and Therion!)

here i am, taking advantage of the free time i got (and I’m not sure how long it’s gonna be), my son is taking a nap so i thought i might as well post something in here.

guess what, a week after my birthday, Alan and I finally had the time to go out and catch a movie after so many weeks of planning it. Everything were perfect; the movie, the popcorn and the person i was with.. But i still can’t help but worry about our Therion; Alan felt the same way too. But still, we had a great time.

Today is my birthday and I’ve a lot to be thankful for. There’s my family, my mom, sis and bro and also Alan, my bestfriend and my partner. Those people that I trust and love dearly. But I received the best gift a few months back when I gave birth to my son, Therion Alan Gurling.

It’s been almost four months since I received the gift of motherhood, and I am very proud of it.

On being a first time mom, I was very nervous. How can anyone trust me with such a fragile life? I felt a confusion of love and panic but one look at Therion’s tiny face peeking out from all of the swaddling, I knew that i had to take this seriously. Taking care of my child would be the most delicate and demanding thing that I would ever do in my entire life.

I could never imagine what would come after motherhood.  Everyone has her own unique response to the alchemy of motherhood. In my case, I lost the hunger for work among other things that I thought were essential in my life. When Therion was born, I stayed at home. I was lucky that Alan gave me the option to do so and take care of our son. We are equally proud of Therion and we want to give him the best we can provide.

These coming days, weeks and months would be a great challenge to me. When I turn 26 next year, Therion would be more that a year old. By then I could share my birthday cake with him..

I can’t wait to see my little angel…

This past month, i’ve been busy reading. I had to finish two books bec. i have to return it to Gaye… Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons and of course, Da Vinci Code. I planned to read it a YEAR ago, but was not able to get to it… i guess, i’ve been procrastinating too much huh? Well, i shouldn’t have, bec. as it turned out, each of them was a very good read. Although these books must be a shocker for devout Christians out there..

If you’re familiar with it’s theme, the author actually tackled a number of misconceptions about the Church and Jesus Christ. If you’re as curious as i am with regards to the facts presented in the book, you might like it. The only thing that “kinda” disappointed me was the fact that there was a point like Dan Brown had all these facts all lined up and forced a story around them. But still, i enjoyed reading them.

Aside from those, i actually became a fan of this comic strip, “Get Fuzzy“. I’ve been reading it for a couple of months now, and Darby Conley (creator) never fails to make me laugh..There are just 4 characters, Rob, his pet Cat “Bucky”(a very temperamental cat), his Dog “Satchel (the gentle pooch), and Rob’s friend Joe. The strip revolves around Bucky’s mischief, they’re so funny,sometimes they really crackme up…

I’m sure you’ll love the comic.and by the way, let me introduce you to Satchel..poor satch…always out of it…but so cute!

What caught my eye here is a silly but very in-character touch: Satchel dots his I’s with hearts, like a twelve-year-old girl. If Bucky could write, one wonders what he would dot his I’s with… a skull and crossbones, perhaps?

hehe…my blog’s getting too crowded…

Lots of things that i want to add into my blog:

1. more space! (boxes~ a plenty for whatnots..so i can post some of my sketches or pics maybe..)

2. im planning to make my own comic strip! yay!! (dont worry its just a plan, it might stay as it is..)

3. my Radioblog, so that anyone can listen to my playlist.. I still dont know how to put it here.at least i have avril’s song playing on the background.. (thank u alantuts!!)

4. a new splash page.. mine’s very green dont you think? but i like green… very much! so i’ll add a new green splash page!!

No one’s home when i got back form work yesterday, so i just switched the TV on so that i’ll have MTV at the background to distract me every so often while i cook my special chicken-thingy.. here are my mindless observations, just because.

1) I actually watched the Mariah Carey videos in the same manner in which you would watch the Amityville movie, in fascinated horror. You just can’t take your eyes off of it, but at the same time you feel so terrible for all the people involved. Anyway, Mr. Brightside was on right after that and I freaked out because I realized that the same old guy that was in the Mariah videos is also in the Killers video. WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY? I ran a search and I found out he is Julia Roberts’s (ssss???) brother. I was surprised to find that he’s been in a lot of films, but I’ve never seen any of them. I have absolutely no explanation for why he is suddenly in all these videos, other than he looks like the epitome of the “dirty older rich man scoping out the 20-30 year old girls because he can” type.

2) Bono looks really old. I know, he IS really old. But I feel more and more grossed out by how much his voice turns me on because he isn’t really aging too well. Especially when he takes the shades off … (you know that i’m joking, right?!!)

3) Whoever this “Amerie” girl is, she is trying too hard to be J-Lo.

4) I love Rob Thomas. But still, his generic pop/r&b single is really “annoying”. Especially since they played it 5 times in an hour. (well im exaggerating..)

5) Gwen Stefani is still delicious.(her music is’nt)

6) Will Smith is back???

7) Moby’s video makes me want to hide under the bed. I have an aversion to people in animal suits to begin with. Watching them make out, bang in the back seat of a car and shoot each other made me really uncomfortable.

At least I saw the Justin Timberlake/Snoop COLLABORATION , i’m not an r&B fan but it was enough to get me through the disappointment brought on by no.7.

9) why is that in 8 out of 10 videos i’ve seen, there’s always these hoochie girls who just cant seem to stop jiggling their butts on national TV? The way they do it, looks so unnatural (and disturbing..) they must have sped up the reel or something, there’s no way they can shake it that fast.
